Radio Christmas are Quackers for supporting at risk children in Guatemala and Honduras!
This year we are giving you the opportunity to sponsor a duck, win some prizes, and support the amazing work Radio Christmas does in the lives of the families we support.
For just £10 you can sponsor a duck with its own distinct personality and design! The ducks don’t eggsactly all look the same! We have 100 ducks to choose from!
So please, donate £10 to sponsor a duck, tune in throughout the week commencing 13th December and back your duck to come first in the 2021 Radio Christmas Quacky Races!
How it works:
We will release all 100 ducks at the same time into the course and after battling the elements and overcoming all obstacles, the first placed duck will receive 100 points. Second placed 99 points, third placed 98 points and so on and so forth!
We will conduct the race four times which gives your duck four opportunities to gain points and climb up the leader board.
After four races the top 25 placed ducks will compete in the Grand Finale live on radio Christmas!
Prizes for the top 5 finishers include a £50 gift voucher, a £300 children’s birthday party, a bottle of bubbly and some fancy chocolates, and many more to come!
When will the races take place?
Due to impartiality and to ensure no fowl play we are conducting the initial four points races in advance. The live finale will occur on Wednesday 22nd December after school at 4pm.
Where will the races take place?
The races will take place in the River Misbourne, with the starting line being behind St Mary’s Church, and the finish line being the bridge by the Church Mead park.
How can I sponsor a duck?
Either come into the studio and sponsor a duck in person or use the sponsor a duck enthuse link to sponsor online. Once you have chosen a duck it is unique to you and you will receive special training updates!
Can I come watch?
We welcome all within the local area to get involved and show up to the grand finale on Wednesday 22nd December at 4pm.
This years Quacky Races has been sponsored by Amersham Drone Services. Thank you for your generous support!
